If so, how? And if not, why not? it does not have much to do with care or social policy.

Response to Salma's Blog

I agree with Salma's thoughts on some of the subjects covered. On the topic of Infidelity, i agree it is a shameful act to be caught up in and that simply by telling the truth in the first place would have created alot less problems for the individual. People cheat becuase they seek some excitement and risk. But surely the consequences are not worth the risks involved!

Response to Sanah's Blog

The comments that Sanah writes on Lying are similar to my own thought's on the subject. However i do not think the example you put in was a very good one. I think lying to an ill person who must realise they are dying is surely just being abit patronising?
I do however agree with you that lying is sometimes justifiable if it is not going to hurt anybody, and is in thier best interests not to know the 'whole truth'.

Stalking

When a person who starts showing a constant interest and obsession with you and your activities, it is surely stalking. If someone is constantly phoning you, sending you messages, and watching your every move then they have a big problem..and so do you!
Stalking can turn quite nasty, as obsessed people are sometimes mentally un-well, therefore thier actions could well be dangerous. People who find themselves in such situations should seek advice and support on what they must do.

Suicide

To take your own life is the most selfish thing you could possibly do. You would have to be very depressed to commit such an act. When you are thinking of suicide you should also consider the many people it is going to effect. you may be taking your own life, however people whom are close to you will also suffer, they may always question why you did it and could they have helped you?!
I think those people with very low self-esteem, badly guided, unloved and bullied people are affected by the thoughts of commiting suicide!! I personally think it's just the easy and cowardly way out, you should face your problems head on instead of doing something so sinister!

Bad Cinema

The film Kids gives you an insight into the reality of what could happen to your children when they are given no guidance and are therefore easily led on by others. The film has drugs, sex, alcohol, HIV, all the things that a parent doesn't want thier children to end up in. I think that parents and children should watch the film, it can educate you on what it is really like when you end up in thses situations. It can guide you to start leading a better life, and as for parents, it could make them more alert on to watch their children and the things that they could get mixed up in.

Drugs

Alot of people have a stereotype for people who take drugs. People think that it is those who hang about on the streets all day causing trouble, are the only people who take drugs. However, this is such a stereotype. Alot of well-eductaed people turn to drugs, celebrities even do drugs!!
Alot of people turn to drugs in order to relieve thier stress and forget thier problems. It starts with a try and ends up as an addiction. Once someone becomes addicted to drugs it is hard to stop, because they become so dependant on them.
Cocaine is a drug that has become quite common to take. It makes users feel 'on top of the world' and overly confident. Cocaine is a stimulant so the effects of it can raise you body's temperature, make your heart beat faster and make feelings of hunger disappear.
